Ohio born and raised, Dr. Alicia Angelo grew up in Bath, Ohio – a small town in the northeast corner of the state. Her strong, loving relationships with her grandparents fueled her passion for caring for older adults. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University in 2001 and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 2005. Since then, she has been practicing as a certified nurse practitioner in central Ohio. Alicia is board certified in wound care and hospice and palliative care. In May 2022, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The Ohio State University. Her doctoral work focused on developing and implementing a structured advance care planning program for long-term care residents, and she plans to introduce this program to other nursing homes.
