Cassandra Davis, Compliance Officer
If you ever have the chance to visit me at my office in Troy, you’ll figure out immediately that I’m a glass half-full type of person. Surrounding me on my desk and on the walls are positive and inspirational quotes and phrases. Given the amount of time that I spend at work, it’s important to me to be surrounded by these positive affirmations, and to share positive thoughts with my co-workers. Prior to joining the company almost 4 years ago, I worked at The Detroit Medical Center, a healthcare system which provides a broad array of services, functioning in both legal and compliance roles. As the Compliance Officer for 360care, my primary responsibility is to make sure that the Company maintains an effective compliance program consistent with the requirements of federal law. An important part of fulfilling that responsibility is the development of Compliance and HIPAA policies and training, that must be shared with, and assigned to, all staff.
Initial and annual compliance and HIPAA training is assigned through Litmos, our Learning Management System. Litmos automatically sends an e-mail with a link to the assigned training. The link does expire within a certain time period, so I recommend adding a bookmark for the log-in page, to whichever browser you use to access the Internet. Any questions concerning Litmos should be directed to me.
In addition to training and policy development, one of the parts of my job that I enjoy most is working with staff at all levels of the organization to review matters of concern and to assist with coming up with solutions that meet the business needs of the Company, while abiding by the many rules and regulations governing healthcare operations.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are the proud parents of two daughters and last year we became “empty-nesters”. Our youngest is finishing up her first year as a Communication (Graphic) Design major, and our oldest will be graduating in May with a degree in Fashion Design. We are very excited to see where this career path leads her – hopefully a fashion line named after her awesome mother, and somewhere warm for us to visit during the snowy Michigan winters.
